Joseph Beecham

I specialised in jewellery after pursuing a degree in fine art, during this time I developed a fascination with fossilised sea creatures and the culture of ancient Greece these themes are an underlying influence on my work as a jeweller.

In recent years, my work has focused on hand-engraved hollow forms in forged Britannia silver attempting to capture the glimmering of light on the surface of flowing water, my most recent work in fine silver also hand engraved is applied with a layer of transparent vitreous enamel and kiln-fired, attempting to emulate the pearlescent surface of seashells.
